HOW TARASHASTRA PUBLISHES
Editorial standards and corrections
Tarashastra publishes educational articles about Vedic astrology, Hindu calendars and practical questions. This page explains who writes them, how claims are sourced, what we will not publish, and how readers can request a correction.
Purpose and scope
Our Learn library is written to answer a reader's question before promoting a service. Articles should be useful without requiring a purchase or WhatsApp conversation. A service link may appear as an optional next step, but it must not replace the explanation.
Astrology is presented as a traditional interpretive framework, not as scientific proof, guaranteed prediction, medical diagnosis, legal advice or financial assurance. Hindu practice is diverse, and one regional or family convention is not described as the only legitimate tradition.
Sources and citations
Articles should link to accessible calendar authorities, institutional sources or primary material when those sources support a factual claim. Classical books are named when an interpretation depends on a textual tradition. We state when editions, translations or chapter structures vary.
Sanskrit quotations appear only when they add context. A quotation should include the Devanagari text when available, transliteration, a plain-language explanation and a source. We do not present a modern editorial application as if it were a word-for-word ancient instruction.
Source notes distinguish the reference from our interpretation. A link does not mean the source endorses Tarashastra, Nakshatra or our services.
Calendar and calculation review
Festival dates and muhurta times are tied to a named city and local clock. We do not convert an Indian clock time into another country's muhurta without recalculating the local conditions. When location-based calendars disagree, the article should compare the place, tithi boundary, sunrise or evening rule, and community convention.
Calculation articles should declare the inputs and method that produced a result. Kundali Milan content should show component scores rather than presenting one total as a verdict. Birth-time uncertainty and software-rule differences should remain visible when they can materially change the interpretation.
Responsible-use boundaries
We do not publish guaranteed predictions, mind-reading claims, fear-based dosha claims or remedy pressure. We do not tell readers to ignore consent, safety, evidence or qualified professional help because of a chart.
Articles must not predict death, diagnose illness, promise fertility, replace mental-health care, determine legal action or recommend an investment as certain. Cultural timing is kept separate from claims of guaranteed profit. Relationship content keeps consent, behaviour and practical compatibility visible.
If a reader faces violence, coercion, stalking, self-harm, medical urgency, legal danger or financial fraud, the article should direct them toward appropriate real-world support rather than an astrology reading.
Editorial content and services
Tarashastra operates Nakshatra, a WhatsApp astrology service, and offers consultations and other products described on the site. Our editorial articles may link to those services. The connection is visible through the Tarashastra name, author profiles, navigation and service CTA.
A service CTA should describe what the reader can ask. It must not turn an educational article into a disguised guarantee, urgency claim or compulsory purchase. Sponsored or paid external contributions will be labelled when applicable.
Updates and corrections
We correct factual errors when we can verify them. Examples include an incorrect city time, broken citation, mistranscribed verse, wrong product detail, calculation input or statement that does not match the cited source.
The structured-data field dateModified is changed only when visible content changes materially. Minor punctuation or formatting changes do not receive a new modification date. When a correction substantially changes the conclusion, timing table or reader decision, the article should include a visible correction note explaining what changed and when.
Readers can request a correction by emailing creator@tarashastra.com. Include the article URL, the exact passage, the proposed correction and a supporting source where possible. We may ask for clarification before making a change.
