1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Tarashastra ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you must have verifiable parental consent as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
3. Service Description
Tarashastra is an AI-powered Vedic Astrology service available on WhatsApp and Telegram. It provides birth chart (kundali) analysis, dasha predictions, panchanga readings, and astrological guidance based on traditional Vedic astrology principles.
4. AI Disclosure
Important: All astrology readings are generated by artificial intelligence — primarily Google Gemini — based on astronomical calculations from the PyJHora engine. There is no human astrologer involved. While we strive for accuracy in Vedic astrology principles, AI-generated content may contain errors or inconsistencies.
5. Disclaimer — Not Professional Advice
Critical Disclaimer: This Service is for entertainment, educational, and spiritual guidance purposes only. Astrological readings provided by Tarashastra should NOT be considered as:
- Medical or health advice — consult a qualified doctor
- Financial or investment advice — consult a SEBI-registered advisor
- Legal advice — consult a qualified advocate
- Mental health advice — consult a licensed therapist
- A substitute for professional consultation of any kind
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the readings.
6. Credits, Payments & Refunds
Credit System: The Service operates on a credit-based model. New users receive free credits. Additional credits can be purchased via Razorpay (UPI, cards, wallets, net banking).
Refund Policy:
- Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except in cases of technical failure where credits were deducted but no reading was provided.
- If the AI fails to generate a response after deducting credits, credits are automatically refunded to your balance.
- For payment disputes or errors, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of the transaction.
- Razorpay is our payment processor. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details.
7. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate birth information for meaningful readings
- Use the Service responsibly and respectfully
- Do not attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
- Do not use the Service to generate readings for third parties without their knowledge
- Do not attempt prompt injection or manipulation of the AI system
8. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You have the right to access, delete, and export your data at any time using bot commands (/mydata, /deletedata).
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, its code, AI prompts, branding, and generated content are protected by intellectual property rights. You may save and use your personal readings for your own purposes, but may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit them.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any decisions made based on astrological readings
- We are not liable for AI errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations in readings
- We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss beyond our control
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your data via /deletedata.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the bot. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
